ABOUT

Hi, I'm David.

I spent more than a decade in wealth planning at Bay Area firms, working with families on the decisions that shape their finances. Again and again, the tax return turned out to be where good plans either came together or quietly came apart: equity income reported twice, withholding that fell short, a state move nobody accounted for.

So I started LongCourse Tax to focus on getting the return right, and on leaving each client clear about what comes next.

Outside the office

You'll find me swimming in the Bay or cycling around it. Endurance sports have taught me to run my own race: steady effort, a clear plan and showing up consistently beat a sprint every time. I bring that same approach to your taxes. (And yes, I'm the kind of person who enjoys a well-organized spreadsheet almost as much as a long ride.)

Why "LongCourse"

The long course of life, and of tax and financial planning. Steady pacing, consistency and going the distance.

The ring in the logo reads clockwise as swim, bike, run: a choppy start, a long stretch of steady work, and a confident finish. That's the shape of a good tax year, too.
